چکیده
Abstract. The problem of imposing the reference conditions in a floating frame formulation is coupled with necessity to reduce interfaces virtual nodes required define multibody joints. Two methods are implemented for rigid and interpolation multipoint constraints, condition matrix derived employing all interface dofs. case study slider-crank mechanism discussed show how different sets can modify system’s dynamics.

Modeling Intermittent Contact for Flexible Multibody Systems
This paper consists of two parts. The first part presents a complementarity based recursive scheme to model intermittent contact for flexible multibody systems. A recursive divide and conquer framework is used to explicitly impose the bilateral constraints in the entire system. The presented approach is an extension of the hybrid scheme for rigid multibody systems to allow for small deformation...
متن کاملA Class of Stabilizing Controllers for Flexible Multibody Systems
This paper considers the problem of controlling a class of nonlinear multibody flexible space systems consisting of a flexible central body to which a number of articulated appendages are attached. Collocated actuators and sensors are assumed, and global asymptotic stability of such systems is established under a nonlinear dissipative control law. The stability is shown to be robust to unmodele...
متن کاملExtension of the Polygonal Contact Model for Flexible Multibody Systems
The Polygonal Contact Model or PCM is originally an algorithm for contact analysis between rigid bodies with complicated geometries in multibody dynamics. In applications where the flexibility of contacting bodies is not negligible, rigid body contact modeling can not achieve realistic results and elastic body contact modeling should be utilized instead. Therefore, due to the importance and nec...
